Christmas time is here [almost]
Hi friends!
Subject line: Christmas has come early. Trust me, I love Thanksgiving as much as the next gal and would never think to short change such a lovely holiday by blasting past it but let me explain, we helped two latino families set up their Christmas lights, and decorate their tree while the rest of the latino community here in Cartersville also absolutely decked their halls with boughs of holly.
Seriously! We'll be driving down the street and see normal house, normal house, then all of a sudden, BAM candy cane lanes, big blow up santas and snowmen, lights in the trees and bushes and on the house, even the mail boxes are decorated. Our latino friends go hard. It's pretty fun :)
In other news we had zone conference this week which was great. I got to bare my testimony at it which is a privilege that only aged missionaries get jeje and that was really cool. It was fun to hear what everyone has learned on their missions. I've learned the importance and the reality of the blessings and promises of the Lord as well as our responsibility to keep our own promises to Him.
Also, President Nelson! He hit that message out of the park! It has been SO fun to share that message with our friends that are learning about the church. The Spirit is so strong every time. So pray everyday and #givethanks everyone!!
All the love and joy,
Hermana Hyer
Not a ton of pictures this week but here is one
