All is quiet on New Years day
Nothing changes on new years day!
Well almost nothing changes, we had transfer calls this Sunday night so you either get called and told you will be transformed or your companion if there will be a change but if there won't you dont get a call. So Hermana Smith and I will stay in our area together but the awesome Sister Stevens will be leaving the apartment and sister Blomquist will get a new companion tomorrow.
Good tidings for the Spanish group: we are continually having our Spanish Sacrament meetings and that are awesome and we are progressing very well towards a branch. I think that's why sister Smith and I stayed. It is humbling and SO COOL to see a part of the Lord's kingdom be formed and strengthened. This really is God's work. The church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints really is His church. It really is divinely directed.
Welcome to 2020 y'all. All you lovely folks with glasses, feel free to take them off because the new year means you've all got 2020 vision

The Book of Mormon is actual scripture. We did a faith flip with a couple we are working with Antonio and Agustina. Agustina is a returning member and Antonio is her boyfriend. When we went over we had Antonio flip the pages of the book of Mormon to see what we would read. He landed on Alma 5 so we read verses 1-14. Verse 14 reads,
" And now behold, I ask of you, my brethren of the church, have ye spiritually been born of God? Have ye received his image in your countenances? Have ye experienced this mighty change in your hearts?"
The Spirit was so strong as we sat and pondered this question. We asked them what they felt like God was trying to tell them through this. Agustina, a rock star lady, told us that God wanted her to have more faith. Antonio said he didn't have any thoughts, so we asked for his feelings and he said, "tranquilidad" which means calm. I was rejoicing on the inside because that means he felt the Spirit. We told him that was the Spirit and then sat there for a bit reaping in the Spirit. Wow wow wow.
Love you all! I hope you have good goals for this year! Feel free to ask the Lord review them and tutor you to make them even better though prayer.
More love,
Hermana Hyer
