Running to Stand Still

Hey everyone!

It's been quite the week. Lots happened on the 28th! It marked 1 year since I got hit by a car, cute Julia graduated #sheabiggirlnow AND it was my cute Mom's birthday!!

Subject line: y'all should give that song a listen. The way it feels describes what kind of week it's been over here. I hope you enjoy it. It's a good one.

The Lord has a funny way of going about things. The car incident a year ago was super humbling and this week has been super humbling as well for different reasons. So remember to be humble folks!

Biggest lesson is all about the Grace of Jesus Christ. Not only can we be made clean through His Atoneing power we can also be uplifted and strengthened by it. In a talk by Elder Bednar to BYU called "The Atonement and our journey through mortality" (credit to Syd for finding this talk) Elder Bednar talks about how when he studied the scriptures and sees the word 'grace' he changes it to be 'enabling and strengthening power'. Its super insightful. We dont have to pray for our circumstances to be changed but instead we can act as agents and pray for to be strengthened according to our faith in Christ.

Stay cool and flexible and have a great week!

Much love,

   Hermana Hyer
