What are you doing new years, new years eve?
Because if you're not doing anything, my companion and I would love to come in and teach you how you and your family can be together for eternity!
Hello everyone! Merry Christmas, Happy new year (soon), happy holidays, happy Monday, happiness.
I hope your Christmas was full of fun and joy and the memory of Jesus Christ and His birth.
On Christmas eve it was absolutely beautiful outside and perfect biking weather so Sister Smith and I rode our bikes to deliver hand written cards and hand wrapped ensigns to all our friends. It was lovely.
Also, for lunch we had a family tradition extravaganza and everything went great! We set the table, folded our paper towel napkins all nice, put the fancy cheeses on the table and had ourselves a BLT luncheon with Christmas music playing softly in the background. SO FUN! All four of us missionaries were just filled with excitement and anticipation for Christmas day.
Sister Smith and I went to one of our favorite members house for dinner and gave them fruitcake as a funny gift. It was awesome.
Christmas eve night we all got in our pjs, moved our mattresses into the living area, got our presents in a pile (the presents were actually in a pile since the afternoon of the 23rd but potato potahto). The other sisters got everyone hug life cat shirts. What a party!
Christmas day was joyful too :) we all opened our packages together and then went to member appointments. We had brunch and dinner with some of our other favorite members which was awesome! Oh so fun!
Plus talking to the blessed fam bam on Christmas was joyful.
Now on to the hard part: keeping that joy around. How on earth can we be joyful like a child on Christmas day more than once a year?
I think we could try to become more child like and Christ like. We can try to find joy in everyday and have trust in the Lord. That doesn't mean we will be happy go lucky 100% of the time but that does mean we will get to know our Savior and the plan of our Heavenly Father. Both those things lead to true joy.
Keep trying, keep searching, keep serving.
Love you all!!
