Into the fray

Hey Hey Hey!

Im in Mexico! Es el mejor. De todo. This week has been good. My district is really great and I love them all. In total there are 4 Hnas and 3 Elders. My compaion is named Hna. Dickamore and she is way cool. She is from Farmington and was a dancer. She took a duel immersion program during school so she is really good at spanish. Its awesome. the other two Hnas are hna Swensen and hna Page. hna Swensen is from Layton and hna Page is from Wisconsin!

The Elders are Elder Olivier, Elder Wilson, and Elder Sterner. They are really funny. It's a party. Their favorite phrase in spanish is "buen truco" which is just like it sounds, "good trick" but this is just a phrase they use. It's not used anywhere but it is so fun. Even if someone just says a good sentance is spanish they will say "oh! buen truco!" its SO funny.

There is a nest in a tree next to our classroom and sometimes you can see a loro chillin in the nest looking out at you and its awesome. We named him "Pedro" ;) I'll try to get a picture of him in his nest. We are only allowed to take pictures on P days and Sundays at a specific time so we'll just hope. Every time we pass the nest though we look up to see if Pedro is there. Mi amor del CCM (MTC).

The random things that happen here are awesome too. On Sunday we heard super loud cannon style shots in the hills and just barely we had an earthquake drill. Some siren went off so we left everything and walked to the safety markers. It was odd but we are all good!

We had a suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper good devotional last night. Elder John C Pingree and his lovely wife Anne came and spoke to us. He is a 70 and had some great insights about repentance. I loved the idea of being clean everywhit. We can do that though Jesus Christ so that's the goal.

Testifying is the best part of the CCM. Our teachers will act like interested people and so we get to contact them and talk to them about the gospel in spanish and that is when I can speak the best spanish. the Spirit really helps and it is so joyful. It makes the studying worth it.
